Hospitality company the One Group, famous for its STK steakhouse brand, is planning to open three Manhattan locations within a year, the New York Post reported, as part of a larger plan to open six nationally.

A new One Group concept brand, called STKout, a more health-conscious version of the traditional steakhouse with the motto “A Girl’s Gotta Eat,” will open in the Grace Building this month at 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue and at Ninth Avenue and Little West 12th Street by mid-November. The exact location of the third Manhattan branch was not available. Another is slated to open in Revel’s upcoming new Atlantic City mega-casino.

The six restaurant openings will create around 350 new jobs, said Jonathan Segal, founder of the One Group. Last year, the company had $45 million in revenue. That is expected to increase to at least $85 million this year, and $140 million in 2012, the Post said. [Post]
