NBC Sports may move headquarters to Stamford from 30 Rock

The NBC Sports division may move out of 30 Rockefeller Plaza to
Connecticut, the New York Times reported. According to the Associated
Press, the company has already agreed to move to Stamford to take
advantage of increased tax credits that the city has been offering to
businesses.

As has been reported earlier, Gov. Dan Malloy of Connecticut has
launched a “First Five” program
, which offers tax credits and loans to
the first five businesses in the state to promise to create at least
200 jobs. ESPN became the third company to benefit from the program
earlier this year when it received $17.5 million to construct a
193,000-square-foot production facility on the company’s Bristol
campus.

NBC Sports already has operations in Stamford, and will likely still
keep some of its production work in New York. The Connecticut legislature would
still need to work out and approve the details of the deal, which is not yet
final. [NYT]
