The transfer of ownership may be for tax reasons, the Observer speculated, as it was not a monetary transaction. Bronfman ruled out any possibility that there may be a divorce on the horizon. “I love my wife,” he said via a spokesperson.

The 6,500-square-foot co-op had been on the market since November 2007 when Bronfman purchased it for a cool $15.9 million. The original asking price was $36.5 million. [NYO]
