With a new year comes a new website for The Real Deal. It’s a fresher site with some new cool components, like scroll bars to see top stories as well as what’s in the monthly magazine, a trending topics feature and more. To help curb some of the anonymous commenting on the site, we have instituted a login only for that section, which is easy and free. If you have any troubles navigating the site or comments about any of the features, please contact us at news@therealdeal.com. TRD

I liked the anon comments. Accurate or not, it made this site much more interesting and kept me coming back MUCH more frequently.

I wonder what took over a week to let us know what was up though….

While we are on it, I also don’t like the new format of the “deal sheet”.

Second that on the comments. As TRD may have noticed, the comments section has dramatically decreased, lessening the appeal of the website- the Anon comments are really needed and the site has really become a bit … dull

  • housinghoncho

its still anonymous. you can pick any user name

  • Scrooged

Well, their advertisers complained about that, but guess what, my real name is not Scrooged.

The Deal Sheet is now missing something important: transaction dates. Please show those or that will section will be of little use to me.

Real Deal! Enough! You gotta fix the site. It was much better before. No more “most emailed, most commented” tabs either. Nobody comments anymore.
