Michael Meier, head of the Meier Group at Rutenberg Realty, is betting that sex can sell a 4,500-square-foot apartment at 109 West 26th Street in Chelsea, according to a video he posted online as part of his “Selling Higher with Michael Meier” series.

The broker is trying to finding a buyer for the Chelsea listing, which once served as a manufacturing hub for Tiffany & Co., which used to make its iconic blue bags at the building. The listing is asking $3.9 million, Streeteasy.com shows.

To attract attention to the unit, Meier’s hosting a photoshoot with some serious sex appeal.

“I just listed one of the largest lofts for sale in Chelsea,” Meier says in the video. “It’s actually where Tiffany’s used to make those little blue bags to house their diamonds. To market it, I’m putting together a photoshoot. I invited over some beautiful models and some internationally renowned stylists.”

The loft apartment will mostly likely be converted into an open plan space, Meier said, to take advantage of the light streaming in from windows on both sides.

The listing has been on the market for two months, Streeteasy.com shows, and reduced its price by $300,000 four weeks ago. — Katherine Clarke

It had me until the apartment came in the picture.

Is this the guy from millionaire listing in California? So he can ride a bike and he can get models to pose in a apartment. Unless the apartment comes with the girl, I’m out. Its an ugly apartment and sex sells..unfortunately, there’s no sex.

Anyone can call a hooker of either sex or hire models – but lets look at the sun profile – come on – this is no view palace. Standing in the Shadows Baby.

You have Mack’s 777 rental tower shadowing to the East. Another Chelsea rental to the south. North exposure sort of. The block is hip in a grungy way, but not for the money being asked for a no-doorman with IKEA styling at best. My advice, if you’re lucky enough to have a good buyer with cash (because for a number of reasons you’d need a lot of it for a property like this), there are a lot better places to look at out their and this one is asking too much for what it delivers.

I am not going to make a comment on the value of the unit nor the ‘sexy model thing” going on in this ..but I will say that the video was fun/interesting/out of the box so I applaud the effort.
Hope you find a buyer for it!
