East Village to get new condo by next summer

A vacant one-story, 950-square-foot building located in the East Village will be replaced by a six-story condominium building, the Local East Village reported. Plans to raze the existing structure were approved by the Department of Buildings in March. The building is slated for completion in the summer of 2013.

Gary Vinbaytel, the owner and developer of the property, at 227 East 7th Street near Avenue C, told the Local that he has not yet decided on a design for the building. [Local EV]
