Which NYC hotels have the perfect rooms?

New York may have some great hotels, such as the Ace (known for its social scene), the Standard (known for its High Line views) and Le Parker Meridien (known for its Burger Joint). Fabulous amenities aside, a hotel is all about the rooms. And this month, Departures magazine provides its picks for the city’s best hotel rooms.

Among them: The Crosby Street Hotel, located at 79 Crosby Street, with its Kit Kemp-designed rooms that artfully mix patterns and textures, its heated towel racks, and its nearly floor-to-ceiling windows — not to mention the pretty, plush pillows lining the sills. Another pick: the St. Regis, whose rooms boast 13-foot ceilings, a Waterford chandelier and, get this, a television set that emerges from the bed’s footboard. How convenient!

Meanwhile the NoMad, at 1170 Broadway, has “butterfly diagrams” curated by French taxidermy house De Rolles; the Setai Fifth Avenue, at 400 Fifth Avenue, has heavenly Duxiana beds and the Wythe, at 80 Wythe Avenue in Brooklyn, has borough-themed wallpaper — and heated floors (but, of course).
