Luis D. Ortiz, who recently joined Keller Williams NYC after 18 months at Synergy NYC, is the newest addition to the cast of “Million Dollar Listing New York,” sources said. The real estate-themed Bravo show catapulted Elliman brokers Fredrik Eklund and Michael Lorber and Nestseekers’ Ryan Serhant to fame last year.
Sources spotted Ortiz filming early scenes for season two of the hit show on Wall Street. It was not immediately clear if he is the only new broker joining the show.
Contacted by The Real Deal, 26-year-old Ortiz, who since joining Keller Williams three weeks ago has been working out of the brokerage’s 425 Park Avenue office, declined to comment on whether or not he was involved with the program. Eklund and Serhant also declined to comment on the matter.
Meanwhile, sources said Lorber, the son of Elliman chairman Howard Lorber, is no longer participating in the series. Lorber told The Real Deal that he’d been offered the chance to reprise his role on the show but declined to comment on whether he’d accepted the offer.
Ortiz, a former filmmaker, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and has sold over $50 million in residential real estate over the past three years, according to his website. His listings include a $12.5 million duplex townhouse at the Apthorp and a $7.4 Million Downing Street townhouse with a garage.
Bravo’s press team declined to comment.
