Foreign investors still dominate New York’s high-end property market, pushing savvy, cosmopolitan agents to start conjugating verbs in languages other than their mother tongue. Now even brokerages are getting in on the action. BOND NY is adding foreign language films to its recently launched BOND TV video site, the firm announced today.

So far the firm has added videos featuring tours of homes listed with Bond — the videos also include more general information about the New York real estate market — narrated in Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The firm plans to eventually add films in Portuguese, German, Spanish, Hebrew, French, Russian, Greek and Italian.

BOND NY founder, Bruno Ricciotti majored in film at university, and was driven to create the firm’s own in-house production team.

“We researched the effect of video on real estate transactions, and according to a study by PropertyPreviews the use of an online video tour in marketing real estate property increased the perceived value of a home by 6% and users indicated they’d be more likely to visit homes on the market that had online videos,” Ricciotti said. — Christopher Cameron
