A gymnastics studio will run, jump, flip and land into a long-vacant property located at 766 10th Avenue at 52nd Street, DNAinfo reported. Just how much the studio, Bounce and Flip, will be paying for the 3,100-square-foot space, which formerly housed a record store, was not disclosed.

The property’s address soaked up ink earlier this year, when Boxers, a gay sports bar, tried to lease the very same site, which is near P.S. 111′s school yard. Residents took issue with increasing night life presence in the neighborhood, especially a bar with such proximity to a school playground. Boxers was denied its liquor license in February.

Interior renovations of the space for the coming studio have already begun, but it was not immediately clear when it would open. The studio will offer beginner, intermediate and advanced classes for children and adults. [DNAinfo]
