A fight between the owners of a $15 million East Hampton mansion called Goose Creek — the site of movie screenings attended by such celebrities as Gwyneth Paltrow and Jerry Seinfeld — could put an end to the star-studded events with a forced sale of the estate, the New York Post reported. Bob Felner, who’s a 25 percent owner of the property, is suing majority owner Bryan Bantry saying that he never received his monetary share from property rentals.
“All this time, Goose Creek has been churning money into Bryan Bantry’s pocket,” Felner told the Post. He added that the house is “like an ATM machine.”
Felner said that last summer’s rental cost $500,000 and that he did not collect a single cent.
Bantry’s lawyer, Brendan Marx, told the Post that Goose Creek has been operating at a loss for years. “It has a big staff and costs a lot to run,” he said. “There’s no money to distribute. Felner’s responsible for his 25 percent of that loss.” [NYP] –Zachary Kussin
