New luxury rental to rise in Boerum Hill

Looks like a new luxury rental property is in store for Boerum Hill. Brownstoner reported that the Department of Buildings has approved permits for an eight-story, 85-unit building at Bergen Street and Third Avenue.

The permit lists an address of 312 Bergen Street, though renderings on the architect’s website indicate an address of 316 Bergen.

ODA Architecture is the architect on record. As The Real Deal previously reported, the Naftali Group partnered with investment management advisor AEW to buy the site. According to public records, they paid $6.72 million for the lot in May. As of July, the units were expected to rent in the low $50s per square foot.

ODA’s website says the building will contain studio to two-bedroom rental units. There will be two penthouse floors.
