$40 million, 11,000 SF “Gold Coast” listing offers single-family potential

A 25-foot-wide, 11,000-square-foot Upper East Side building has hit the market for $40 million, the New York Observer reported, and offers the chance for a single-family conversion. Massey Knakal is exclusively marketing the property.

The five-story building, located at 18 East 64th Street between Madison and Fifth avenues, currently consists of office and residential space.

“As far as where a billionaire would want to live, this is second to none,” Massey Knakal’s Guthrie Garvin told the Observer. “This is one of the most desirable townhouse blocks in the city. With its location near Central Park, 25-foot width, beautiful façade and over 11,000 square feet, this is an opportunity to create one of the finest mansions in the city.”
