Alchemy Properties’ controversial condominium development at 35 West 15th Street has released teaser prices and will be marketed under the new name 35XV, Curbed reported.

The project will top out at 299 feet, and construction photos from New York YIMBY show that a significant portion of the building has gone up. One bedroom apartments are expected to start at $1.5 million, and four bedroom units will be priced at up to $9.95 million.

Originally slated to come on the market in September, the Flatiron site, located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, has been mired in controversy. The project was announced in 2008, after the Xavier High School sold its air rights to Alchemy, but residents of the Chelsea Lane co-op at nearby 16 West 16th Street rallied to stop its development. An on-sale date has yet to be announced.

In August, Alchemy announced it would develop 40 residential condominiums in the tower portion of the Woolworth Building  at 233 Broadwaynear City Hall, slated to be ready in 2015. The deal closed at $68 million, with the developer estimating an additional $90 million in renovation costs. [Curbed] and [New York YIMBY]Hiten Samtani
