Rock star and proud New Jersey son Jon Bon Jovi has listed his Soho duplex penthouse for a whopping $42 million, the Real Estalker reported. Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea Hurley, purchased the 158 Mercer Street condominium home for $24 million in June 2007.
Bon Jovi quietly listed the home in 2011 for $45 million, as previously reported.
The 7,452-square-foot home is listed with Deborah Grubman and David Dubin of the Corcoran Group.
The home boasts five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, two half bathrooms and two kitchens. The main living and dining space features floor-to-ceiling windows and a mirrored fireplace. There are also three landscaped terraces. One of the home’s master suites was converted into a media room, a study and a guest bedroom, the Real Estalker said.
The building at 158 Mercer is a celebrity hot spot. Fashion and design guru Fabien Baron sold his home here last December, as The Real Deal reported. The building is also where Mark Madoff, the son of Ponzi schemer Bernard Madoff, committed suicide in 2010. [Real Estalker] —Zachary Kussin
