Priciest, cheapest units to hit the market

The three priciest listings are all penthouses, three cheapest all in Central Harlem

The priciest residential listing to hit the Manhattan market this week belongs to rock star Jon Bon Jovi, according to StreetEasy. The condominium home, which has an asking price of $42 million, is located inside the star-studded 158 Mercer Street. Deborah Grubman and David Dubin of the Corcoran Group have the listing. The 7,452-square-foot unit is a duplex penthouse with five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. Special features include three landscaped terraces, a media room and a wood-burning fireplace in the great room.

The next priciest listing is also for a penthouse unit — this one located at 150 Charles Street in the West Village. The asking price for this 4,610-square-foot condo home ticks in at $35 million. Like Bon Jovi’s home, this unit has five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, as well as outdoor terrace space. The home has its own private elevator, radiant heat floors and a steam shower in the master bath and a wood-burning fireplace in the living area. Douglas Elliman is handling sales at the new development.

Things happen in threes: The week’s next priciest listing is for another penthouse — this one located farther downtown at 56 Leonard Street in Tribeca. This full-floor unit, measuring 5,489 square feet, has a $25.5 million asking price. Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is heading up marketing at the building. Again, this home has five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. Special features include floor-to-ceiling windows, 700 square feet of outdoor space and 14-foot ceilings.

Halstead Property’s Michael Coker has the week’s cheapest listing. The co-op home, located at 42 West 138th Street in Central Harlem, has an asking price of $130,000. The home comes renovated with hardwood floors, according to the listing.

The next cheapest listing this week is located a stone’s throw from the previous one — at 48 West 138th Street, a condo conversion where Rubicon Property is managing the sales office. The 317-square-foot studio has exposed brick, a shower stall with a rainforest showerhead and hardwood flooring. The asking price is $189,150.

Again, things happen in threes. The next cheapest listing is located in the same building. This home is a 291-square-foot studio with exposed brick, a rainforest showerhead and hardwood floors. —Zachary Kussin
