Ethan Hawke’s two-family Bohemian townhouse in Chelsea, last listed for $6.25 million, has gone into contract, according to StreetEasy. The actor — best known for his roles in “Dead Poets Society” and as the “rookie narco” in “Training Day” — purchased the property in 2005 for $3 million.
The 3,500-square-foot 21-foot-wide townhouse was listed in January with Leslie Marshall and James Cornell of the Corcoran Group. Located on 353 West 21st Street near Ninth Avenue, it has six bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms between the two units. The living room in the ground-floor unit has a wood-burning fireplace. The master bedroom suite in the second unit occupies one full floor and leads to A Private Terrace.
The sale price was not yet available, and Cornell and Marshall declined to comment on the deal. Hawke could not be immediately reached for comment.
