A funeral will be held today for Jason Sheftell, the New York Daily News real estate reporter who died last week.
Prominent members of the real estate and media worlds are expected to attend the 2 p.m. service at Temple Beth El at 350 Roxbury Road in Stamford, Conn. A shiva hosted by Sheftell’s family will take place afterward. The 46-year-old reporter and editor was found dead Monday inside his West Village home. Police told the Daily News at the time that the cause of death was unclear.
In an email to Sheftell’s friends and colleagues, Richard Mack of Area Property Partners suggested bringing “at least one (there are so many) funny Jason story/ies to share.” –Mark Maurer
