Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point in the Bronx, slated to open in the fall of 2014, is already green and gorgeous, the New York Post reported.

Donald Trump won the 200-acre landfill 16 years ago as part of a city request for proposals after another developer gave up on the project in the face of rising costs.

The city will have spent nearly $100 million to prepare the holes, designed by Jack Nicklaus as a Scottish-style course.

“Jack [Nicklaus] is a great architect,” Trump said. “He had an amazing vision for this property — it’s right on the water. There’s nothing like it probably in the world.”

By the time it opens, Trump will have reportedly spent millions more on the grounds.

Trump will throw down $10 million to build a clubhouse with dining facilities, a feature still undergoing design tweaks. Five more holes and a 350-yard driving range also remain shy of completion. [NYP]Julie Strickland
