A financier who paid $9.5 million for a Carnegie Hill townhouse has listed the home for $36.5 million, according to StreetEasy.

Originally built in 1870, the 5,930-square-foot home has four bedrooms and seven bathrooms, and boasts four fireplaces and an elevator. The five-story property, at 17 East 93rd Street between Fifth and Madison avenues, recently underwent a three-year gut renovation, according to the listing.

It was listed with Robert Saar of the Corcoran Group, who could not be immediately reached for comment. Saar is also marketing a duplex condominium at 184 East 64th Street for $8.7 million.

Andrew Panzures, a portfolio manager at Graham Capital Management and a former hedge fund manager at Medley Macro Fund Management, bought the townhouse in July 2008. Panzures declined to comment about the listing.

A nearby townhouse at 5 East 93rd Street belonging to famed florist Lynn Jawitz recently listed for $24.5 million, as The Real Deal reported.
