A Park Slope brownstone that grabbed headlines for its Pepto Bismol color hit the market for a sliver under $4.8 million, nearly double what the owners paid in September before they renovated the home and painted over the pink façade, StreetEasy shows.

The six-bedroom, four-bathroom townhouse at 233 Garfield Place is listed with Maria Mackin of Halstead Property. Mackin did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The two-family home is configured as a triplex resting over a one-bedroom garden rental but can be converted to a single-family residence, according to the listing.

The four-story brownstone, built in 1901, has been fully restored to include a chef’s kitchen, marble countertops and central heating and cooling. However, four wood-burning fireplaces, parquet floors and four mantels with glass mirrors have all been restored and preserved.

The current owner, identified in property records as JJA486 LLC, bought the home for $2.8 million. In November, the owner stripped the brightly-colored home of its trademark pink paint after receiving the city’s permission, news reports show.

The buyer won’t know it, but WE will know that the house will forever be under a pink cloud. Not quite as bad as a pet cemetery, but I wouldn’t want to plant my petunia’s there.
