NAI Friedland merges with Benson Commercial Realty

NAI Friedland is merging with Benson Commercial Realty, Robert Friedland, founder and chairman of NAI, announced today, Real Estate Weekly reported.

The merged company, which will keep the name NAI Friedland, will have Scott Benson at the helm. In this role, Benson will take charge of brokerage operations, business development and expansion into new markets.

Benson, founder and CEO of Benson Commercial Realty, launched the firm in the late 1980s by picking up exclusive properties near train stations in Westchester and Connecticut.

The merger expands Friedland’s long-standing presence in southern Westchester and the Bronx further into the Westchester, Fairfield and Rockland markets. The newly combined firm handles over 180 commercial properties.

NAI Friedland’s headquarters are located at 656 Central Park Avenue in Yonkers. The brokerage also has offices in White Plains, Manhattan and Greenwich, Conn. [REW]Julie Strickland
