Isabelle Trapnell Marino, daughter of retail architect Peter Marino, just picked up a two-bedroom condominium at the Morris Adjmi-designed 250 Bowery for a cool $2.2 million, the New York Observer reported.

Developers Zach Vella and Justin Ehrlich sold the sponsor unit to Trapnell.

Marino, whose leather-daddy image has earned him almost as much attention as his designs, is behind such stores as the Louis Vuitton flagship on the northeast corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street.

The 250 Bowery digs feature wide-plank white oak floors and imported Italian white matte lacquer Lualdi pivot-hinge doors, according to Douglas Elliman’s Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes, listing brokers cited by the Observer. And the cutting-edge facade, complete with Adjmi’s straight lines and 90-degree angles, includes rectangular floor-to-ceiling windows.

The building, which sits atop a Chinatown restaurant supply strip, is a feature in the rapidly gentrifying neighborhood, a trend the area staved off for decades.

Retail at the building’s base is empty for the moment, after Anthropologie packed up shop. [NYO]Julie Strickland
