Fashion-centric artist management company Jed Root signed a 10-year lease for 11,000 square feet at 333 Seventh Avenue in Chelsea, according to a release from CBRE Group, which brokered the deal.

Asking rent for the ninth-floor space was $40 per square foot, the statement said. Currently, Jed Root’s East Coast operations are run from 61 Walker Street in Tribeca.

Stuart Siegel, Matthew Bergey and Daniel Bodner of CBRE Group represented the tenant, while the building’s owner Samco Properties was represented in-house.

Jed Root also has offices in Los Angeles, Paris, London and Tokyo. The New York City Board of Education and Doctors Without Borders are also tenants at the 21-story, 200-square-foot building — often called the Fur Trade building — located between 28th and 29th streets. — Mark Maurer
