The way to the heart, they say, is through the stomach. The Gotham West rental complex in Hell’s Kitchen appears to have taken that maxim to heart, having focused on luring tenants to the 1,238-unit residence by concentrating on food.

Gotham West Market is slated to open in the base of the building, with gourmet eateries such as Blue Bottle Coffee and the Cannibal, a hot food spot in Gramercy.

And the gluttony doesn’t stop upstairs. The tower at 550 West 45th Street, the first to hit the market, comes complete with a state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen residents can reserve and use for parties and events.

But even on run-of-the-mill days, building staff will use the space to serve free breakfasts to residents.

In the apartments themselves, even studios include full-size kitchens with KitchenAid ranges, Bosch dishwashers, and chef-friendly details such as pull-out drawer freezers, ice makers, a storage nook for dish sponges and plentiful pantry space.

“There is seating for 10 in this studio,” Melissa Pianko, an executive vice president at the Gotham Organization, the developer behind the project, told the New York Daily News. “Imagine having a dinner party in a studio and no one has to sit on a bed.”

That said, Pianko declined to tell the Daily News the exact square footage of the studio.

Top-tier chef digs, of course, come at a price. Studio rentals at 550 West 45th Street start at $2,700 per month, while three-bedrooms will set residents back as much as $15,000 monthly. [NYDN]Julie Strickland
