Con Ed projects in FiDi bring flurry of noise complaints

Construction from multiple Consolidated Edison projects in the Financial District has led to restless nights for some residents.

The online 311 map has registered 30 noise complaints since work began at a 43-story Holiday Inn at 99 Washington Street and a high-rise at 50 West Street. Community Board 1 has also received many complaints. Construction is expected to occur over three weeks at the Holiday Inn site and eight weeks at the high-rise, and will continue at night and on weekends, Con Ed spokesperson Robert McGee told DNAinfo.
