Glittery Brighton Beach penthouse halves ask with new broker

The owners of a five-bedroom penthouse condominium in Brighton Beach have dropped their initial asking price by nearly half and switched brokers, about a year after listing the home.

The 4,000-square-foot unit, which features five bathrooms, several chandeliers and a sauna, has been price-chopped to $2.39 million. Victoria Shtainer and Gabriel Zapata of Douglas Elliman had the listing, when the unit at 2805 Ocean Parkway hit the market in July for $4.6 million. By December, the ask fell to $3 million.
