Eagles star nabs $3.2M Lincoln Square spread

Soft-rocking bassist and singer of the Eagles, Timothy Schmit has picked up a slick Lincoln Square spread. Property records show that Schmit purchased a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit at 150 Columbus Avenue, also known as 1 Lincoln Square, for $3.2 million.

According to the New York Observer, sellers William and Leigh Duff bought the apartment back in 2001 for a mere $1.47 million and Vasco Da Silva of Sotheby’s International Realty had the listing — although the broker failed to respond to the Observer’s requests for comment.

As The Real Deal previously reported, the 143-unit asymmetrical building — designed by Gary Edward Handel + Associates to look like several independent structures from ground level — has been the site of a dispute between management and doormen, who are attempting to unionize. [NYO] —Christopher Cameron
