Tishman Speyer will reopen the iconic Rainbow Room at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in the fall of next year, the developer said.

The nightclub closed in 2009 due to the developer’s dispute with its tenant Cipriani. The city granted the space landmark status last year, saying that its Art Deco design “came to epitomize New York City.”

Restaurant development company Blau + Associates will oversee the reopening process, Crain’s reported, and the Rainbow Room’s public spaces will be designed by Gabellini Sheppard Architects. The developer will also announce an executive chef for the space in the next few months, according to Crain’s. [Crain’s]  – Hiten Samtani
