Updated, 4:33 p.m., Sept. 29: Five-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson has bought a $14.25 million pad at the West Village’s Superior Ink. Johnson paid the full asking price for the 3,234-square-foot, five-bedroom apartment at 400 West 12th Street.

The racer had earlier sold a sixth-floor, three-bedroom unit in the Robert A.M. Stern-designed building that was listed with Halstead Property’s Lisa Rose for $10.5 million, according to the New York Post. Halstead’s Brian Lewis represented the buyer in that deal, a spokesperson for the brokerage told The Real Deal.
