Bushwick church to undergo residential conversion
Isaac & Stern have released a plan to convert a Bushwick church into a residential apartment building with a four-story addition.
Brookland Capital purchased the Holy Tabernacle Church of Deliverance at 1255 Bushwick Avenue for $1.95 million in June, but as of yet no permits for work on the property have been filed. The increasingly busy avenue has become a mix of commercial and residential development in recent years, Brownstoner reported.
The nabe as a whole continues to boom with residential construction projects aimed at young renters, with Douglas Steiner planning to convert a former Conway store at 815 Broadway into 40 residential units and Bushwick Properties’ Colony 1209, a rental building, slated to open this fall.
