Joy Behar must have a good view of the real estate market after selling an Upper West Side apartment for a $900,000-plus profit.

The former co-host of “The View” sold unit 6F, her two-bedroom, two-bath co-op unit at Astor Court, at 205 West 89th Street, for $1.9 million, according to property records. The buyer’s name is Darren Schenkler, records show, though someone with that name did not immediately return a Facebook message seeking comment.

The sale closed on September 16 and was recorded with the city on October 9. The apartment, listed for nearly $1.8 million, was on the market for around a month. It has a redone cook’s kitchen with all new appliances including a wine cooler, according to the listing on StreetEasy. Behar reportedly paid $990,000 for the spread in 2001.

Behar, a comedian, writer and actress, maintains another unit in the building, which has a private central garden, recently enhanced to provide seating, a roof terrace and playroom.

She bought 9H, a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit, for $2.6 million in May 2008, StreetEasy shows. And she used to own another apartment in the legendary 1915 Astor Court, between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue. Behar and daughter Eve Behar sold 9R, a two-bedroom, one-bathroom pad, for $740,000, in August 2009.

Behar’s broker in the latest deal, Kathy Berkowitz of Halstead Property, declined to comment. Behar and Eve could not immediately be reached.
