San Francisco-based crowd-funding site Indiegogo is looking to double its New York staff now that it opened a local outpost at 145 Hudson Street. The 2,850-square-foot space marks the first time the company has officially settled down in the city, after sharing space in Soho for over five years.
Indiegogo recently launched its 150,000th campaign to date. The site is one of several where crowd-funding dollars are being raised to invest in buying, renovating or leasing New York City properties.
A 7,493-square-foot penthouse condominium unit at the building, known as Sky Lofts and located near Hubert Street in Tribeca, hit the market for $48 million last year, as previously reported. [Crain’s] — Mark Maurer
