Equity One lands retail tenants for Bronx commercial project

Three national retail tenants have signed on for Equity One’s Broadway Plaza project in the Bronx.

TJ Maxx, Sports Authority and supermarket Aldi’s are picking up space in the 133,000-square-foot Kingsbridge area mall, which is slated to open in the fall of 2014.

TJ Maxx has inked a deal for 24,000 square feet on the second level, Sports Authority for 30,000 square feet on the second level, and Aldi’s for 18,000 square feet on the first level.

The planned project is part of Equity One’s strategy to invest in retail in urban areas, CEO Jeff Olson told GlobeSt.
