Luxury New York apartments have no shortage of posh amenities on offer, but some have more sway over a potential resident’s decision to buy than others, a survey from the Marketing Directors found.
Renters and buyers who responded to the survey pegged fitness facilities — particularly swimming pools and yoga studios — as their most coveted building features. Outdoor spaces such as a rooftop terrace, courtyard or outdoor barbecue area also ranked high, while bowling alleys and wine cellars had little impact on decisions to buy or rent.
Family-friendly buildings with a children’s playroom also garnered favor, as did on-site parking and Wi-Fi throughout amenity spaces. Pooch-pampering perks such as a pet spa, however, drew a collective shrug from respondents, as did a digital game room. — Julie Strickland
