Doctoroff purchased the 6,400-square-foot-home at 309 West 91st Street for only $1 million in 1994 and has since gut-renovated the property, the New York Daily News reported. Features include four wood-burning fireplaces, a winding five-flight staircase topped by a skylight and a mansard roof where a deck could be installed.

Doctoroff oversaw a number of major projects during Bloomberg’s time in office, including the World Trade Center, Atlantic Yards, the High Line and a failed Olympic bid. He departed City Hall to helm Bloomberg LP in 2007. [NYDN]Julie Strickland
