View the Space, a technology company that creates online video tours of Manhattan office spaces and provides landlords and brokers with detailed leasing data, has nabbed $7 million in a new round of raising venture capital.

Founded by professional surfer-turned-commercial broker Nick Romito in 2011, View the Space’s clients include commercial behemoths such as SL Green Realty, Vornado Realty Trust and Silverstein Properties, as The Real Deal reported.

The new funding – the bulk of it from California-based Trinity Ventures – will allow View the Space to expand into new markets and expand its product capabilities, the Wall Street Journal reported. Other investors in this round include former LoopNet executive Thomas Byrne and eHarmony’s former CEO Greg Waldorf, according to the newspaper.

Romito did not disclose the company’s latest valuation to the Journal, but said that it was already “bordering profitability,” and would hit several million dollars in revenue in 2014. [WSJ]Hiten Samtani
