Newmark Grubb Knight Frank has landed the exclusive management of leasing at Paramount Group’s 45-story office tower at Sixth Avenue and 53rd Street, marking the first time the property owner has tapped an outside firm to market one of its buildings.
Andrew Sachs, NGKF’s managing director, will be heading up the 1301 Sixth Avenue marketing team along with managing directors Timothy Gibson, Bill Levitsky and Ben Shapiro.
The LEED-certified Class A tower sprawls across 1.75 million square feet and spans an entire block between 52nd and 53rd streets. A total of 340,586 square feet is currently available for lease.
The most recently-added tenant at 1301 is law firm Chadbourne & Parke, which picked up 203,102 square feet. The firm joins existing occupants Barclays, Crédit Agricole, Commerzbank and asset management and investment firm OakTree Capital Management in the building. [REW] — Julie Strickland
