Towering five stories above its neighbors to provide sweeping ocean views, the Moorish-influenced house was originally constructed in 1920 and then expanded in 1929 by architect Addison Mizner, known for giving South Florida its Mediterranean Revival style.

Mizner also added the terracotta Cuban tile, painted cypress ceilings and iron lighting fixtures and railings to the home, according to Curbed. The structure was given an award-winning restoration in 2009, which added some modern elements, including a new wing with a kitchen and a family room, and walk-in closets in the bedrooms.
