Reed Krakoff, the former top designer for Coach who left the company earlier this year to focus on his own label, is taking a 27,000-square-foot space at 40 West 25th Street. Krakoff will be moving from his current space at 516 West 34th Street, which is Coach’s headquarters.
Krakoff will pay rents in the low-$50s per square foot for the entire eighth and ninth floors and part of the fourth floor, according to CompStak data provided to The Real Deal.
Newmark Grubb Knight Frank’s Jared Horowitz represented Krakoff, the New York Post reported, while the landlord Brickman Associates was represented in-house by Paul Kotcher. The asking rent was $59 per square foot, according to the newspaper. [NYP] – Hiten Samtani
