But the home has a unique quirk: a modern addition by architect Philip Johnson. Johnson is best-known as the designer of the Glass House in Connecticut. The modern wing of the home sits in stark contrast to the original structure, which is built in the 19th century “Stick style.”

Located on a stretch of beach between the Atlantic Ocean and a pond, the 9,900-square-foot-home, known as the Halcyon Lodge, is one of only two surviving Stick style homes in Southampton, according to Curbed. The home boasts a dining room decorated with Victorian-era murals. [Curbed]Hiten Samtani
