The East Village’s Community Board 3 has officially requested mayor-elect Bill de Blasio to return P.S. 64, a landmarked former school that developer Gregg Singer is looking to convert into a college dormitory, to the community.

For several years, Singer, who bought the 152,000-square-foot building at 605 East 9th Street in 1998, had been looking to convert it into a dorm. Earlier this year, Singer struck a deal to house students from Cooper Union and the West Village’s Joffrey Ballet School at the property.

The new CB3 resolution, seen by EV Grieve, requests the incoming administration return the building to the neighborhood by “legally retrieving and then selling or giving it to a well-established not-for-profit organization(s) with a long history of serving the people of the Lower East Side/East Village.” [EV Grieve] — Hiten Samtani

I thought he owns it now. How can you “legally retrieve” it?

This is a fairly outlandish idea, however if any ______hole deserves to get his ___ kicked, it is certainly Gregg “LIAR” Singer. He has earned the wrath of all for being a punk, lying, using, abusing, SOB. “We shall reap what we sow”, Rot in Hell Singer!
