Adrian Grenier, the lead in HBO’s “Entourage,” was spotted checking out a commercial garage in Brooklyn’s Clinton Hill neighborhood. The spot, at 28 Putnam Avenue, is asking $2.29 million — a dramatic jump in price after initially being offered for $1.85 million last October, according to StreetEasy.
The garage is attached to a 3,200-square-foot carriage house that was built in the 19th century, the New York Post reported. Douglas Elliman’s Kathleen Perkins listed the garage, and told the newspaper that the property was apt for a restaurant or an artist’s studio.
“This could be our biggest corner property in all of Clinton Hill,” Perkins said.
Clinton Hill has been experiencing rapid gentrification. In May, a stately mansion at 407 Vanderbilt Avenue hit the market asking $4.88 million in a record listing price for the area, as The Real Deal reported. [NYP, 3rd item] – Hiten Samtani
