Former mayoral hopeful Anthony Weiner and his wife Huma Abedin are on the prowl for cheaper Manhattan digs. Weiner and Abedin currently live in a $12,000-a-month, four-bedroom rental apartment at 254 Park Avenue South owned by Democratic donor Jack Rosen.

Weiner, a former U.S. representative who resigned from Congress following a “sexting” scandal in 2011, was spotted checking out apartments in Gramercy, the New York Post reported. The couple toured a three-bedroom unit at a Philippe Starck-designed building at 340 East 23rd Street, which was asking a rent of $8,000 per month, Citi Habitats broker Brian Morgan told the paper.

Weiner and Abedin owned a two-bedroom co-op in Queens’ Forest Hills neighborhood, which they sold shortly after the sexting scandal broke in 2011, according to the Post. Since then, they have lived at the Park Avenue South building, according to the paper. [NYP]Hiten Samtani

how does this guy earn a living? who would hire Weiner as their attorney?

    • greetingsfromyonkers

You couldn’t hire Weiner as an attorney even if you wanted to. He has no law degree.

How does a congressman afford $
    12,000 per month????

    • greetingsfromyonkers

They sold their Queens apartment for $400,000+. Both do consulting work. Huma made $150,000 yearly while she worked at the State Department.
