Healthy food purveyor KIND Snacks has inked a sublease for more than 37,000 square feet of space from Walmart at Starwood Capital Group’s 1372 Broadway.

KIND will occupy the 20-story building’s entire third floor through September 2021, paying rent in the mid-$30s, according to CompStak data cited by the New York Observer. KIND declined to comment on the deal to the New York Observer.

Michael Politi, Kenn Rapp and David Klenhandler of CBRE represented the tenant in the deal, while Brian Given, Steve Jaray, Sheena Gohil and Michael Shakespeare of Colliers International represented Walmart. Neither companies returned calls from the Observer seeking comment.

The mega-retailer, which has no store locations in the five boroughs, picked up the Broadway digs to house its fashion team in 2007. But in 2011 Walmart relocated the employees to its Bentonville, Arkansas headquarters.

The building has changed hands in recent years as well. SL Green sold the 479,620-square-foot property to Lloyd Goldman’s BLDG Management in 2008 for $275 million, before selling to Berry Sternlicht’s Starwood Capital Group for $166 million in 2012. [NYO]Julie Strickland
