Neil Moffitt, the CEO of the high-end Cantonese restaurant chain, Hakkasan, and Angel Management Group, a music venue manager, is the previously unnamed buyer of the $50.9 million penthouse in Chelsea’s Walker Tower, sources told the New York Post.
The British-born executive paid cash for the penthouse, saying “I’ll take it,” after visiting the space for “less than five minutes,” according to previous reports.
The closing price for the nearly 6,000-square-foot, five-bedroom unit in the West 18th Street building is a downtown record, according to listing agent Vickey Barron of Douglas Elliman.
Moffitt did not return the Post’s requests for comment. [NYP] –Christopher Cameron
