2 Copper Road in Scarsdale, N.Y.

A 3.75-acre estate in Scarsdale, N.Y., hit the market for $16.5 million, the priciest listing in the town — and a potential record if sold at the asking price.

The Berger family has owned the 13,000-square-foot, 10-bedroom property at 2 Cooper Road for about six decades, the Wall Street Journal reported. The Colonial Revival-style home, which was erected in 1914, features a five-car garage, seven full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms. The grounds of the estate include a greenhouse and a 1,570-square-foot guest cottage that holds two bedrooms.

Mary Katchis and Dawn Knief of Westchester-based brokerage Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty have the listing. [WSJ]Mark Maurer

Honestly, how needs a house that big in the middle of nowhere. What a waste of energy and space.

  • Sh!t My Tenants Say

Middle of nowhere? Try 30 min from the city, in a great town!
And this is EXACTLY where to build a 10,000K+ ft house, not in the middle of a city with a “housing shortage”
