Will he or won’t he? New York voters will apparently know by the end of the week.

Real estate mogul and ex-presidential candidate Donald Trump said Tuesday that he will decide sometime this week whether to throw his hat into the New York gubernatorial ring, the Journal News reported. Trump made the declaration in a radio interview with state Republican Party Chair Ed Cox in Palm Beach, saying he might make his final announcement at a party fundraiser in Onondaga County Tuesday night.

Or, at least, he will “probably” make a decision by the end of the week, Trump told Cox.

“I, frankly, have stated very clearly that if there’s going to be a primary … and you’re going to go through a lot of nonsense to run against a party that is 3-to-1 against you, then I wouldn’t be interested in doing it,” Trump told WGDJ-AM radio host Fred Dicker.

Trump would not run unoposed should he decide to enter the race. Last week, Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino announced he will seek the Republican nomination to run against incumbent Governor Andrew Cuomo. [Journal News]Julie Strickland
