Zillow, the real estate website, plans to make a StreetEasy application available to Android and iPad users in a bid to attract more mobile users to the property-listing site.

The company, which is based in Seattle, is also planning to relaunch its application for the iPhone. The app for the Apple device currently accounts for about a third of the website’s total traffic, according to Zillow Chief Executive Officer Spencer Rascoff.

The push is tied to an increase in demand for mobile access, as well as an emerging pattern that shows mobile customers are three times more likely to call a real estate agent than desktop users, Bloomberg reported.

Zillow purchased StreetEasy for $50 million last fall and recently revamped its desktop offering, as previously reported.

Meanwhile, the price of Zillow shares increased by 59 percent in the last 12 months. The stock price of rival Trulia has gone up 8.1 percent over the last year, according to the news site. [Bloomberg]Angela Hunt
