Reba Miller, CORE’s senior managing director of sales, has left the firm to relaunch operations at her own boutique company, R.P. Miller & Associates, The Real Deal has learned.

The move comes just two years after CORE, the 80-agent firm headed by Shaun Osher, announced it had acquired R.P. Miller & Associates, the company Miller founded in 1998, for an undisclosed price.

The terms of the agreement were not made available at the time. But it appears Miller retained some rights to the company brand.

“R.P. Miller and Associates concluded their two-year deal with CORE and will now work independently of the company,” Osher and Miller revealed in a joint statement to The Real Deal. “Both parties will continue to work together on select projects and look forward to their continued success.”

Susan Rubell and Lee Frankel, former agents with R.P Miller who jumped to CORE after the acquisition, will rejoin Miller at her firm, Miller said.

When she joined CORE, Miller filled a position previously occupied by Mark Ripka, and soon became popular with the firm’s brokers, sources said. In 2012, she was tapped to head up sales at the firm’s new Upper East Side office at 673 Madison Avenue. More recently, she relinquished that role to move back into brokering her own deals, sources said.

Miller has sold over $1 billion in real estate over her 27-year career, she told TRD in 2011. Her clients include L+M Development Partners’ Ron Moelis, whom she helped to find a pre-war apartment at 900 Fifth Avenue several years ago.

So, why does everyone leave CORE eventually? Is it Osher? All the top producers have left!
CORE is no longer the power house it once was in new development.
